Deformable Mirrors (DMX)

Bertin Alpao Large Aperture Deformable Mirrors (DMX) boast a larger pupil diameter than other Deformable Mirrors. This larger pupil captures more light from the source, which can be particularly beneficial when low-light conditions or when observing faint objects.

KEY FEATURES
LARGE DEFORMATION
• Up to 50 µm optical deformation (peak to valley) : to correct large amplitude aberrations
LARGE APERTURE

• Up to 170 mm pupil diameter : to captures more light and to allow high beam power

• Optimal actuator hexagonal pattern

TECHNOLOGY

Bertin Alpao’s Deformable Mirrors (DM) are powered by state-of-the-art electromagnetic actuators. By applying a current to the coils, the magnets move up and down, dynamically deforming the membrane to correct optical distortions in real time. This unique technique enables fast motion and real-time shape adjustments to account for dynamic changes in the optical environment.

Our high-end performance Deformable Mirrors are design to correct all kinds of Zernike optical deformation that you may encounter across a range of applications, including AstronomyVision ScienceMicroscopyFree Space Optical communicationDefenseMicroelectronic and Laser
